Thanks
Dear Friends, let me take a moment to, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, offer my appreciation for the
readers of this blog, and those who comment and entertain my scattered thoughts. The whole blogging thing is amazing to me: how we've moved into this new medium, colonizing cyberspace and connecting with others in such fashion that it would seem rather strange to not have it. It is truly as Manuel Castells has noted, that "networks constitute the new social morphology of our societies," (and of our relationships) and blogs are just another part of that new morphology (Vol.I: 469).
Still, even though when I started this blog I just wanted a space to extrude and explore my thoughts, my readers and commenters have influenced this blog in such substantial ways, that I have been amazed at how it, and myself, have been transformed. A significant lesson has been how much time it takes to keep a blog afloat, but most importantly has been the realization of how much time, effort, diligence, patience, and generosity (not to mention at times the other paramitas!) it takes to be a good reader and commenter in this still relatively new medium. By far the most difficult thing has been keeping up with other fantastic blogs out there, and commenting on the wonderful posts I keep encountering. So even though seemingly just a moment here, my appreciation is deep and sustained for those readers and commenters who keep the faith and check in to see what weird things I might be spouting. Many of you come again and again, and even subscribe to a feed! What a strange world this blogging one eh? Nothing is to be taken for granted, and least of all, given our short lives, the time we spend communicating and composing our lives with others. That seems a good summary of what blogging in this blangha has been. Thank you. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving week, ensconced in the heart of peace, love, and joy.

Hi, Nacho,
Shame on me! I've not visited Woodmoor village for a couple of weeks, and there is always wonderful stuff to read here. So this is just me returning the thanks. I love the idea of composing our lives with others. Strive on!
Will :-)
